Your Team Role
What type of team member are you most like? How would you like to improve your team role?
I feel that I am an action orientated team member that achieves the goals and task that are given to him I want try to more consent when it comes to my performance and interaction other team members.

I would say that I tend toward the Monitor Evaluator. I always want to analyse everything before making a decision. I like to do my research. However,in my professional roles I would say that I strive to be more of a Team Worker focused on the getting what it needs to succeed. I am sure that at different times I have had many roles on teams that I have been apart of. It was really good to recognize the different roles and how they work together to build an effective team.
I think I am good at Monitor/Evaluator because I tend to take note when people or processes aren't going like they should.
I am an implementer. I also consider myself a little bit of a shaper. Since I am all in the action oriented category I'd like to expland out to the other categories.
I'm most like a "monitor/evaluator" team member because I analyze ideas, am a critical thinker, and very strategic in my approach. I would like to improve my team role my making sure I'm not perceived as unemotional and by not being a poor motivator.
I think I am a Team Worker. I think I am also a little bit of a resource investigator. I like taking account of the people we have in our admissions department and knowing who I can go to for advice on different issues. I like to think that I am flexible in our working environment as I chip away at a certain goal or deadline. I've stepped into some different roles at different times which I wouldn't usually fulfill. This flexibility is what I identify with the most in the Team Worker role.
I view myself as a People Oriented Team Worker. I have no problems getting along with people from all walks of life. I enjoy making connections with others and making sure everyone feels supported and heard.
Great post Erica. How do your team members respond to your role or style?

I am Action Oriented, People Oriented, and Thought Oriented in my roles daily. My position involves each of these from day-to-day. This is a dynamic I discovered as I realized the magnitude of my position and it's responsibilities. This is one among other reasons why I love this subject.

We have a small team for our animal enrichment project. I find that we all play multiple roles. I think I am the implementer, resource investigator, sometime specialist and definitely the completer. My boss is the coordinator, monitor and plant. The other two on the team handle the other roles - we just have to get further down the line to completer.
I would say that I am both a shaper and a coordinator.
I believe I am an implementer. I am task oriented and like to get things done right and on time.
Dennis, Great awareness! It has been found that each role is situational, as well. Thank you for posting!

I naturally gravitate to the team leader role also it seems, although in my time here I have helped to grow our school considerably, and in doing so I have taken on just about all roles at one time or another.
I believe that I am a shaper. I always want my team to think out of the box and question the norm. I always like to challenge myself so in some ways I will challenge my team mates to improve.
Bridgett, It sounds like you really care about your role and the role your team plays in the overall picture/goals of the company. What are some things you can do to improve upon this role?

I'm an Implementer I like to get things done. I need to work with resilience to implement changes required everyday in the work place. I will make sure that I am transparent about the changes and they are are good depending on where the changes are being made in the company and make sure my team is collobarating within.

Asmir, Great awareness! Thank you for sharing.

I think that I'm a Shaper. The way I can improve my team role is by making sure that I listen to other Shapers as well and sometime even step back.
