Empathy and Sympathy
I sometimes have a hard time between the two. I understand the two but I still get them fixed up.

I have learned through many experiences that showing empathy build rapport with the prospect. However, once you show sympathy the prospect begins to give excuses. As a result you will have a student that consistently has obstacles and makes excuses Not to overcome them.
