Listening Skills
What is the best way to improve listening skills?
Cristina, Interesting! What happens if you are not able to see the person? Does that mean you don't listen as well?

The best way to improve your listening skills is to stop talking and allow the other person speak until they have conveyed their message or question. I have a tendancy to interrup people when they're asking me a question because I feel I have the answer for them. It's not only rude but unprofessional because it may be a different question they might try to ask me instead of what I'm assuming.
I believe that eye work is even more important than ear work. Without having eye contact, your listening skills will not be as effective.
The Best way to improve listening skills is to make sure to remove yourself and your personal feeling from the situation and actually hear what the person has to say. Make sure your responses relate to what the person is asking. Make sure your body language reflects what your saying or agreeing to.
