Students that are to shy to even say name outloud
I have a student that is so shy knows the answers but just will say them outloud! Anyone know how to deal with this.
I often will try to help the shyer students feel more comfortable by mirroring their own actions when we have a moment spend some time together. Once they realize that they are comfortable to communicate one on one they will slowly open up and feel more comfortable in a group.
I start the break the ice to know the student history with the university, family and hobbies. Then I began on the academic program, workload then I try to let me guide with his/hers way to do their study program. That's how they feel confidence with me and to continue their education.
Darless, It's common for students to be shy or even a little scared. How can you help these kinds of students to feel more comfortable or less shy?
