Making the Connection
Having clear understanding of the audience who you are speaking to,is vital. Must always think the answers through before communicating, to sound clear and assertive. Once prepared to speak with said audience, it will make it an easier duty to build relationship with them.
First impressions are very important as we try to connect with individuals and build rapport. What do you do to try to connect with people during that first call? How do you build rapport?
I feel that you make the connections with the person on the phone when you first talk with them, and make your notes so that when they come in to see you, you have a really good idea of what they are wanting.
I think that is a great idea. My question is though, how does you premptively have a clear understanding of the audience before speaking to them? You may not know what questions they are going to ask.
Fernando,
Very good ideas! It does help to make sure you truly understand what they are saying to build meaningful rapport. It shows you are really listening and people like that!
