No Shows

what is the appropriate number of days in a row should you call(if they are not answering)to see when they would like to Re-Schedule an appointment?

Corin, Interesting! Do you follow up with your inquiries a while later? Or are they never to be contacted again?
Elizabeth Wheeler

I know if I don't get a response in a week then I go ahead and take the lead off my calling lists. I try calls, text, and emails and then I let the lead go.

I like to keep the no shows on my weekly calendar and call them again at the end of the weeK if I have not set up the apt yet.

I don't believe that there is a set number of days. The student has already expressed an interest in coming in to meet with you. I think that you need to continue to try to reach the student, but vary your contact methods. Perhaps alternate emails and phone calls. Your emails should be friendly and refer to the individual student's interests - don't send a canned or formatted email. If you have any events on campus, invite them to that.

Henry, How many times to you call or email before you stop trying to contact one particular student?
Dr. Jean Norris

I would call and email until you get a response that will reschedule the appointment or they are no longer interested.

Sabrina,

It's great that you don't just use the phone or just email. A variety is key!

Dr. Jean Norris

I typically call for two days following the no-show appointment and call but do not leave a voice mail on the third day, checking to see if they pick up. I will email if they do not.

Maris, That is a great question! What is your current process?
