
I like the 10-15 minute window of time to call. Many occasions a call helped my forgetting the address or phone number of the place/desired appointment. It is a natural fear for the representative to assume the negative. Make the call ASAP to, if for nothing else, eliminate the wrong assumption. Moreover, the show of care and concern is beneficial to the person lost or frustrated over directions.

yes most of the time, I don't give up and I do plenty of follow ups. unless they tell me not to call them anymore and they are no longer interested.

right away, or in a couple of hours, and if they are busy I ask when is the best time to call back. some times they work late hours so I make sure I schedule an appointment on my late day.
