Publicity and Public efforts already in place
We have developed a formal relationship as a provider with Government Agencies, workforce, and vocational rehabilitation centers. We participate with Community Events. Have done high school and Training Centers expo booth presentations as well as reaching out to prospective students on Career Day events.
What is working for us now besides the outreach with different organizations is our "Referral Awards Program" Which allows our students to earn money.
What did not work well was our Blood Drive event last year.
We are going to join our local Chamber of Commerce for member support. To help promote our School.
Ginny,
Thanks Ginny. It sounds like you may not be accredited?? Accreditation has specific rules about financial payments made in relationship to enrollments. You might want to check how that could apply to you. You are right that referrals are one of the best sources for qualified enrollments. If your grads are happy they will likely refer others to enroll, Referrals can come from clients who use your services and also from companies who hire your grads. The goal is great student experiences so that your school is seen as THE place to go to for training and staffing. Alumni can also be harnessed as a source for enrollments. Thanks, Susan

Yes we offer a referral program for anyone that referrs a student to our school and they enroll with financial benefit. This has definitely made a difference. Most of our students refer others to register at our school and some of them don't even know of our financial referral program so they are presently surprised when the mail man puts an envelope with a check in it!
Amarilis,
Sounds like you are doing a variety of activities that will all result in success. It is important to track each and measure quality and quantity. And of course make changes as needed. Suggest you have one person out in the community every day visiting employers and potential employers. Also consider joining different community groups where you can speak with them about your training, your school, and more. Invite them for a tour. Be sure to send out media announcements before, during, and after each event. It's easy to get press. Just do something everyday and make it informational and interesting. Keep in mind all your Alumni and how their comments can endorse your school. Great going. Susan
