Great stuff once again but what about the big schools?
O.K so I have done what I said in a previous post and we have revamped our website. From all of your posts I have learned that I have a way to go, and that in particular we need to get testimonials up on the site (after receiving a signed release).
A couple of comments questions:
1) If radio and TV aren't the best place for advertising, then why do the big schools use them (i.e., Phoenix, Everest, etc)?
2) I love the discussions about Signage and I have three new tasks to complete as a result of reading the posts: get something big and permanent on the main street, possibly at the nearest bus shelter; use our employers as a place to put signs; get portable "standup" banners to use for fairs etc.
3) Magnetic signs for vehicles and t-shorts! Portable signs.
I am also going to approach the local TV channel to do a live remote on their morning show at our school as a public service announcement.
THANK YOU ALL!
Ed
Great Ed. Here are some more comments to consider. Re radio and advertising and marketing strategies - the best marketing is one that fits the school. If your school is similar to Phoenix and Everest then definitely follow their success. Evaluation goes hand in hand with any marketing. You need to measure all aspects of results and decide what needs to be changed. And keep in mind that what works today might not work next month. Great ideas about signs. As to portable signs - interesting idea. You'll want to measure results in relation to where they are placed. About TV - if you dont' have to pay for exposure then it's probably ok. Otherwise be sure you know what demographic each station reaches. And if you get qualified students. Good luck, Susan
