Programs in Place in the Community
At the present time we have Staff Development, which has made us aware of how to use this sessions to further advertise our college. We also participate in Public High School Career Day, which is one of the primary source to recruit high school graduates. At least once a year we have a Blood Drive to help the shortage of blood in our community. It is a good idea to implement Articulation Agreement with a college that offers BSN in order to get our credits recognize.
Millie,
These are great community outreach programs that benefit both students and your community. And they provide opportunities for publicity before, during, and after. Great. Seems like these activities could also be turned into Service Learning projects (Community service). With a bit of formal structure students, grads, and alumni can create internship like experiences where they learn and practice skills that could be added to their resumes. Thanks for helping us realize that. Susan
