leads
Is it a complete waste to run ads the week before or the week after christmas? Suprisingly we have had several leads this first week in december.
January is the best month
Michael-
I tend to agree with you. Depending on how the days of the week fall, the week between Christmass and New Years can often be a very strong week for lead flow if you push some extra spending in there. Have you been successful getting your admissions reps to change their approach to working these leads?
Mike
Personally I feel that running an ad the week after Christmas can be a good thing as people that are looking for something new for their lives see this. It can be a resolution for them for the coming year. Leads generated from this contact form must be followed up on a little more agressively though, make sure the potential student is keeping their New Year's resolution.
Hi Kelly,
Glad to hear this works well. It sounds like you have a good strategy that works well and you can combat people wanting to wait until after the holiday.
While most of our competitors cut or eliminate spending in the 4th quarter, specifically December we actually increase our efforts. We have monthly starts including December. This year we had a start a week before Christmas. In the month of December we started almost 80 students.
TV is usually cheaper and we begin adding to what is traditionally a good month in January for those not wanting to start in December. This has been our strateguy for the last three years and it works well for us.
Seems to be a good January around the country from what we are seeing and hearing. Good time to get ahead of the game with leads and starts and set yourself up for a good year.
Mike
I agree with. We do this year exactly what you said a little presence during Oct,Nov,Dic and start a full campaing on january. our leads increase dramaticly and our orientations.I wondering continue like this.
Spending should decrease the week prioir to September. It is good to maintain a small presence leading into Christmas. Then right after Christmas ramp up again leading into New Year's.
