Students making their ow assessments
I would encourage potential students to make their own assessment by doing their own research and visiting other schools.
The students are partners in the assessment for learning process.For example,study samples of work that vary in quality and collaboration in creating their own student-friendly version of a performance assessment scoring rubric.For students might create practice versions of multiple-choice tests that parallel the content of an upcoming final exam.
I agree students should make their own decisions on what school to go and their decisions should not be steered at wall.

This is correct, students should not be "steered" in any direction. If they are comparing campuses it is important that they spend the time to complete the research.
