Actually, that isn't true. In this day and age, general wheelchair access to buildings should be long-established, and larger classes often are more sedentary (large lecture arrangements) than are smaller, hands-on classes that may present problems with lab activities, and so on. But the responsibility for physical access belongs to the institution to arrange, not the instructor.

I am more concerned with the classroom environment , especially in very large classes. The ability to provide access usually is not so easy.

No. Making facilities accessible to people who use wheelchairs has long been considered the responsibility of the institution, not of some outside entity.
