I agree. I also believe that the students defintely need to be aware that these services are available to them. The instructor should also stress to the students that there is nothing wrong with needing accommodations.

How do you know who that is at your institution? Does the school have a process in place and a person assigned to help determine which students qualify as disabled and what accommodations are appropriate? If not, you can now suggest things to be considered in setting up such a system.
