What are some creative ways professors and staff have worked this concept into already working class and student interaction models?
Donna,
Here's two simple ideas to consider: (1) we often provide notes/notetakers for students with disabilities who are not able to take notes for themselves. I know of faculty who have started rotating the assignment of taking notes in class among classmates, with the understanding that those notes will be posted to the class listserv. EVERYONE has access to a set of notes for every lecture; (2) There are times when assignments can be given with OPTIONS that allow everyone to respond in a way that highlights their strengths. Want everyone to research a class-related topic and report? Consider allowing the report to be made through traditional ppt presentation, or through a creative videotape of the presentation, or by creating a teaching module that leads everyone through the information, or ???
