Universal Design

Are there standards or requirements for UD desks or chair in the classroom? If so, who regulates these standards?

Universal Design is not a legal requirement. It is a philosophical construct. Any requests for accommodations regarding classroom desks and chairs would need to go through the school's disability service provider.

Ann,
The ADA outlines architectural guidelines which provides guidance on building accessibility as well as in educational facilities.
