Accomadations
Let the person in charge of handling these do their job to avoid placing the institution and yourself in a vicarious position.
Michael,
Right! Your job is to put potential/entering students in touch with the right people, not to try to troubleshoot their disability-related needs and solutions.
Dr. Jane Jarrow
As an Admissions rep my job is to speak to the programs we offer, what the requirnments are, and the features and benefits of the programs. I cannot speak about accommindations, I must leave that up to the professionals in the company that can better assist the students needs in those areas.
Crystal,
If you stick to that, and make sure to refer prospective students on to the right people within the institution to answer their unique questions in other areas, everyone wins.
Dr. Jane Jarrow
As an admissions rep, my job is admissions. I can tell prospective students about the school, about the program, analyze their needs and wants, and offer options academically. However, I cannot provide any information in regards to finanical aid, transfer credits, or accomodations. There are specific departments for this information that can give the student every aspect of information they need.
