We always attempt to reach the student by phone first. If this is not successful we will e-mail or text asking them to contact us. It works well with the majority of inquiries we receive.
Most of my communication is done in person or over the phone. Working in Financial Aid, I feel that information can be conveyed most successfully face-to-face.
I most often use the phone to communicate with prospective students. I also use e-mail and text messaging as well, though telephone is usually the most effective form of communication.
My first attempt is always in person, if possible, followed by telephone call, followed by email.
Our school uses mostly phone communication, as well as email.
We use the phone as the main way to communicate because its the most effective and easiest to regulate.
The phone is the most common use of communication in our admissions office but I must say that lately I have increased customer contact by way of texting.
I use the phone most often. Since I work in the online department, a majority of prospective students do not live in the vicinity of the college. I will also e-mail students but primarily all communication is done over the phone.
The channels that I utilize that most are telephone and email. I work in the online division of our College. So therefore the opportunity to meet a student face to face is not likely because they often to far to commute to our location for a short meeting, when in fact everything can be done via phone, email, and chat.
I use the telephone. I feel this is the best method for me b/c I like to know that the individual has been contacted and informed on the matter needed for school.
phone and face-to-face because that is measured
Email is my favorite just because I don't normally get a hold of the student by phone. I feel like when I send an email, I'm less of a bother to that student because they can check their email when they want to and it doesn't interrupt anything they might be doing.
We use over the phone and face to face communication. I find that to be the best ways to determaine their level of interest
We use phone and in person communication. Sometimes these are recorded, but the student must know.
From a compliance perspective, it is important to maintain consistency in communications, whether they be one to many, or one on one.
the communication I mostly use is texting, students have become more tech savvy. I find texting is a preferred communication for them
Email. I am the most comfortable with it, it allows for a record of the communication, and it provides for an opportunity to review the correspondence to ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations prior to issuing.
In our school we use phone or in-person communication, followed up by an email, and finally followed by a text message. We have found that majority of the potential students respond better to the text in our area (if unable to reach them thru the initial phone call). It makes it a lot easier when they respond to have that proof that they responded to our initial contact.
We most often use the telephone because it is more personal and you can deal with objections immediately.
Presently, the communication that is used most often is email and or social media. We have found that applicants will respond to "Facebook messages" much more often than phone calls.
