Carolyn ,

I too love the idea of the poster contest with faculty judges. Not only will the faculty learn important student loan concepts, but you will get the chance to see what your students are learning and what they consider most important about student loans. Don't forget a small prize for the winner! That will really get the competition going!

tiera,

I have played the Financial Aid Jeopardy game at conferences, and I think a student loan focus for students with answers taken from the entrance interview is a very clever idea. You are absolutely right in that it puts a little fun into some not-always-so-fun information, and it stimulates your student "players" to want to learn the information, not just hear it, particularly if there is a little prize for the winner. You are so right, though, that everyone wins if they gain a greater understanding about student loans!

I think the idea of having a little FinAid jeopardy at orientation class will get students involved. FinAid jeopardy is a game that not only reiterates all that was told to the student during the enrollment process regarding student loans but also it is a game where everyone wins! We get to dispell myths about Financial AId that students have and share knowledge in a more exciting way.
