Death File Match
Have you ever had a student fail the Death File Match and how did you resolve the issue?
In my experience I have never seen that.

I have never had it happen at our institution either.

I have not worked with this match before; however, maybe some of the other participants have dealt with this and will provide you feedback. I have heard other FA professionals discuss this and usually it is due to a mix up in SSN's and it has taken months to work through the issue.

No... I have never had this happen. However I wonder if someone has how they addressed it with the student.

These are very rare and in my 25+ years in Financial Aid Administration I have never had to resolve one of these. The FSA Handbook provides guidance on the requirements and resolution necessary.

Our Institution has never had a student fail the Death File Match.
I never had a case like this in our institution.
