The gift certificate is from the on-campus spa. It is generally for a massage,pedicure or manicure. The response has been very good and business in the spa has increased. The down side of this is that it can be very costly for the school, so I am seeking a less expensive solution.

What a great idea. The graduate survey info is so vital. So if gift certificates work to get response, why not. Can you tell us what the gift certificate is for?? How has it improved response? What would you do differently?

We have decided to offer our graduates gift certificates when we receive their completed graduate surveys.

Keeping up with very mobile students is a challenge. One way is to get their cell phones and also their relatives contact info. Then be sure you keep up with grads regularly so if they change their address, etc. you have a chance to find out.
