In addition to Craigslist and Linkedin, Iv'e seen many of our graduates find freelance job leads through Mandy.com and Indeed.com. It is also important for them to have an online portfolio where they can send potential employers to, to view their work.

We are media school, and freelance work is the norm. I get freelance opportunities come in for the students often. I have also advised them to create a webpage, and to market themselves through social media avenues, as linkedin, Twitter and Facebook.

There are a ton of freelance sites out there for students to use. I find flexjobs.com to a really good one!

I've seen many people have success with Linkedin; Craigslist is also a possibility though it's more of a hit or miss kind of thing.
