One potential partner is the One-Stop Career Centers which are a component of the state's Employment Development Department. These offices offer services for job-seekers and employers thus could enhance the effectiveness of our Career Services team beyond the campus-initiated efforts.
New opportunities for improved partnerships for our institution to move forward are hard to find. There are several organizations and businesses that our institution can partner with in order to place our graduates. Temporary Agencies, Father hood programs, planned parenting programs, Department of labor are just a few of the entities that come to mind when I think of Community Partnerships. These organizations have partnerships of their own that can assist the individuals we teach that may have placement issues. Partnerships may be developed to get individuals with barriers additional training outside of our particular scope that would help them in their career opportunities.
Connie,
Can you elaborate? What kind of employer and staff training?
