I think that our school welcomes the students as soon as they walk in the front door as we post the names of students arriving for a tour that day as well as their admissions representative comes down to personally greet them upon arrival.
Sarah, great thoughts. First impressions are everything, in any situation. How specifically do you feel carrying an authentic and inviting atmosphere throughout the campus will help the student avoid feeling buyers remorse?
Dr. Jean Norris
I agree that the first impression shoud be authentic and inviting so the customer can relax without feeling pressured and that they are making a good and contious decission. Then it should flow through out that facility through faculty and staff in hopes that the customer does not experience that dreadful feeling of buyers remorse.
Lisa, you make a great point. What are some suggestions you have to avoid this situation?
Dr. Jean Norris
I agree with this statement literally. First impressions of the building and guidance to staff departments may be cumbersome to some. If people aren't quite sure if they wish to attend your school and it's hard to find the personnel they seek, they may think it's easier not to bother with the whole educational idea.
Yolanda, Great point. Can you expand on what you mean by "front door impression" and how you use it?
