How To Help The Anxious Student
How do you help the anxious student who refuses to seek any outside help, but continues to fail at school? I have recommended this student seek psychiatric services, but they have not done so. While I know you cannot force someone do get help, what can be done in the meantime to help this student during the time at school?

Do you have professional counselors at your school? It sounds like you have taken the obvious steps to help the student and it may be time to seek help from the professionals.
Have you spoken with other staff and faculty who interact with this student? Perhaps you can collectively develop a successful strategy. In some cases, hearing a similar message from multiple people can have more impact.
