PROVIDE INPUT

TOO OFTEN WE WANT TO SOLVE OUR STUDENTS' PROBLEMS. WE FEEL HELPLESS WHEN WE DO OUR BEST AND THE STUDENTS CONTNUES A DOWNWARD SPIRAL. WE LEARN THAT WE CAN LISTEN, SUGGEST AND ADVISE BUT WE CANNOT SOLVE ALL PROBLEMS. I LIKE THE IDEA OF BEING A SOUNDING BOARD FOR OUR STUDENTS. I REALLY ENJOYED THIS MODULE. I WOULD LIKE TO TEACH MY STUDENTS THIS INFORMATION.

Support is great, Miles. What else have you done?

support is great, It has worked well for me in the past.

i've been a teacher for 8 years now for sure not knowing all that can be done but when it come to student problems listening is the best medicine i truly think that the student relaxes and can open up and heal by talking. All they really want is a little suport from us.

I find that sometimes a student just needs someone to vent too. They may feel overwhelmed and disconnected and need an authorative figure to reassure them that everything is going to be alright. We are there to support them and understand it can be tough sometime. A kind word, compassionate listner and friendly smile can turn a fustrating moment around in a matter of minutes.
