I agree, but I disagree. I start out hard at first so they know my level of expectation, but then I loosen up a bit so the students know that I have high standards, but I also have a sense of understanding so they're not afraid to ask questions.

Treating and interacting with everyone consistantly is something we should all do to identify and respond to any problems that arise.This also sends the message to your class that everyone is equally important.

I had a great teacher in high school who said Repitition is the mother of all learning. I so agree with this consistant classroom behavior, "consistancey in Diesel" is what I tell my students. No suprises. But still try to keep it exciting!

I agree that consistancy is very important,first, students are waiting to see if you are a person of your word.For some, not being consistance will discourage some students.
To have a shot of retaining all students cosistancy has an important role !
