Retention Program

I think the first key element to a successful retention program is to first figure out who on your faculty and staff are supportive in your quest to improve your current situation.

I would only add that the staff member should keep other people, as appropriate, informed or involved.

If a student goes to any staff memeber regardless of thier position I feel it is that staff members duty to help see the issue through. They can enlist anybody they see fit to help difuse the situation but if they just toss the student to somebody else to deal with I think the student feels dismissed or they dont care. Everybody needs to work as a team until the issues are resolved or not.

And then what? Disciplinary action for those who aren't? Training?

A retention program won't work if participation is optional.

I do agree ,in order to implement a successful retention program every member of your staff and faculty should be properly train and be accountable.
