classroom
The material delivered in the classroom has great impact on the decision to stay in school.
Not necessarily. It may mean that the instructor only sees one way to convel the lesson. As instructors we can use the sylibus as a guide line. This leaves instructors some creative leeway in the methods they use to teach the subject i.e 'bring it to life'. This will help keep the students curiosity peaked and wanting to come back.
Should there be consequences? Possibly however, I am not qualified to list these consequences, nor would I know where to begin with enforcing them.
Patrick, are you suggesting that it may overwhelm a student and they drop as a consequence or that they are dissatisfied by the rigor of the course?
Sometimes the content on a class can be the trigger that causes a student to drop out. I don't know if there should be consequences, but the content should be improved if it's substandard.
Does this imply that schools with high drop out rates are not delivering good content in the classroom? If so, should there be consequences?
