STUDENTS HAVE MANY NEW FEARS APOND ARRIVING AT A NEW SCHOOL WITH A DIFFERENT TYPE OF OPERATION. NEW RULES, ECT.......A GOOD SCHOOL ALONG WITH A CARING STAFF CAN RID MOST OF THE FEARS IN A VERY SHORT TIME WITH THE CORRECT PROGRAMS.
TRUE!! The fears become very real when the unknown is on their mind. I remember my 1st college day. It was very scary!!
All of have rears of the unknown and as an instructor we need to do our best to let our students know we have fears as well and they are not alone. At the same time we need put some of there fears to rest when it comes to how we teach a class.

Excellent! You are absolutely correct that many online students are afraid of the process. It is wonderful that you reach out to reassure and assist them.

I work with students taking online classes. Many of the students taking online classes are afraid of the process. I send emails and make phone calls to let students know that I am available if they need help navigating or posting their assignments. Many students respond with "thank you" emails for checking on them.
i agree when students arrive at class the first day they need to know what is expected of them and that you care about there education.
