Larry--

Yes, the proof IS in the puddin'! Testimonials from graduates is probably an institution's best branding and retention tool. They definitely carry much more weight than faculty/staff.

I picked this forum because it reminded me of an old saying, the proof is in the puddin. Former students can reinforce the school, cirriculum and instructors in a positive manner by explaining the trials and tribulations of going from student to employee. Students can sometimes react negatively toward disipline and structure not knowing it is for their own good, but worth it in the end. All the situations a student can go through can only be understood and excepted by another student.

Former successful graduates are a major plus. They tell the new students how good or bad they started out and how much the school helped to motivate, guide and educate them until they graduated, and landed a great job.

Absolutley.1 I have asked many students to stop back by and let me know how they are doing and have had quite a few do so. When they do, they are more than happy to discuss with the students how they are doing and why they were happy they came here and stuck it out through the hard times.

I agree completely. I keep in contact with some of my graduates, so that they may visit the new students, to explain how our institution has benefitted them.
