In-State vs. Out-of-State Students
I find that even if an out-of-state student enrolls in our campus, it doesn't necessary mean that they won't connect with other students or feel homesick and maybe lost. Even students with close family ties to our community experience stress (especially during testing in their classes).
Sharon,
Outstanding! I love the fact you feed them and provide space for them to study with each other. Great!

We have student appreciation days (tacos, hot dogs, popcorn, water, soda, etc.). We also have private study rooms where students can prepare for exams in groups (very popular). It's nice to see students supporting each other during stressful testing times!
Sharon,
Very true. Does your institution do anything specific for those stressful times (e.g. finals, etc.)?
