Faculty Involvement

I believe that it is important for faculty to know the policies and expectations of a school. Students are looking for faculty mentors that they can rely on to give them good advice and guide them in the right direction. If a faculty member or mentor does not understand the institution's procedures correctly for themselves, they will have a hard time relaying these messages to students.

I agre with that. If we don't hold our faculty to a higher standard of knowledge and wisdom then we can't expect our students to be held to any sort of high standard.

I believe this is extremely important. I feel that if the students know right away (and are reminded throughout their program), they will realize what is expected of them in each of their classes. Making sure each instructor follows along the same guidelines is also extremely important as if each instructor tells the student(s) different things, students will then become disenchanted and will be more likely not to do the work, come to class, or even decide to leave the program.

we need to be able to guide the students, in all aspects of their learning opportunity
