What to except
I would like to know if you have any student focused ideas or games to have at orientation that can be started and then completed on the first few days of class. Ways in which to inusre that we have a strong start...
This is always something students find fun and refreshing from the normal experiences they have.
Estella,
It's always good to find an exercise that has people up and moving around. They get tired of just sitting and listening to people talk at them. Mixing the two formats is most effective.

A scavenger hunt, with items they will find in their classrooms. They can start on Orientation day and then finish it in class, and we could offer a prize, maybe a gift card for the snack machine
Yes, the knowledge encounters between students it is great, try it and you will feel the experience of a fun and strong begining.
Elizabeth,
That is a great idea! Most of the activities I have seen at orientation could certainly be extended to the first week of class.
