I value the mentors that let me take what I have learned and fly from there, making mistakes where I will, learning from those, and soaring to new heights in all that I achieve. I respect those who even though they know you are making a mistake, they help to guide but will let you stand with your beliefs to see them all the way through. They taught me to be positive while being constructive and how beneficial it is to learn from your mistake.
I respect the instructors who have been doing this longer than myself. I watch and learn from them.
