knowledge

I am not in admissions, but I do believe that the more time one spends and and projects knowledge upon a prospective student the more success there will be for both sides

K.C.,

The majority of students coming to a career school have already made up their mind to make a change in their lives and want to improve their lives. Also, we know that in our business the next start target is very important for all of us. I would be interested in hearing more about why you think a longer time as a prospect would help retention?

Ron Hansen, Ed. D.

I am not in admissions, but I agree. Sometimes a student is placed in an area of study that is not a good fit.
I believe a longer prospective time be spent observing their chosen field is a good idea before enrolling.

Thomas,
Excellent... sounds like you have an excellent relationship with admissions.

Dr. Larry Banks

At our school we have tours going on all the time and ive found out that if the admisions people are well verse in the products and ingredents that we use it a great tool for up and coming students and keeps them engaged and excited to be part of a team

Great insight Wally. To instill entagrety into this industry, the business needs to be very open about the operations. These students filter into the main stream and they need to display the tools needed to back up the schools reputation.

Admissions knowledge of prospective students can determine if that student will be able and willing to sacrifice to complete their chosen field of interest. Hence retention is good and the student is successfully educated.

I agree that the more admissions knows about the student the more success the student can have. I also think that this information should be passed to the instructors that has the student in the their first classes at the college. This can also be a positive for the student and the instructor.

I agree. I think the more knowledge that can be learned the more helpful both sides can be to the student.
