Student retention
To increase retention it is important to focus on student social and academic inttegration.
I agree!! Communication is very critical when concerns are going on in ones life. Early and good communication can help that student make better choices.
Lisa,
Listening to students is sometimes all that is required. Students voicing their issues/problems/concerns is sometimes all that is needed.
Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
I agree with trying to understand student circumstances. This will greatly help retention and make the person feel as if someone cares. We may not have the answers to student problems but we can listen and encourage them to realize their strengths and to see the big picture. In some cases, we can remind them that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Tuan,
Have you ever tried pairing up students on your own?
Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
I create hand on training and the student can choose their partners to work with. They also share their knowledge and experience!
John,
How do you keep students involved?
Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
kepping the students involved and and trying to know their situation will definitly help
Keeping a close connection with open communication helps tremendous with student retention.
Nazi,
Yes. Building connections between students and with the student and the school aids in retention significantly. What's your plan?
