Each program student may share some core commonalities the is makes a good determinate of how serious the students are about the programs

Kathryn,

Let me know what you have used. Have you heard of the Muddiest Point/Clearest Point? One minute papers? Think-Pair-Share?

Ron Hansen, Ed. D.

As an instructor, I try to introduce activities that require persistence - exercises where they have to work together to finish a task. Does anyone have inbasket exercises, or fun activities like this they can share? I need some new ideas!

Jamie,

Thank you for your response. I wonder if Admissions added that question to an interview would they find more prospects know someone in their desired field? Might be interesting to know.

Ron Hansen, Ed. D.

Dr. Hansen,
We have noticed that students who know somebody in their chosen field are more engaged through the admissions process. They come in with some first hand knowledge. They ask good questions and are eager to know more from the onset.

Yolanda,

Have you noticed any commonalities to share with your Admissions department?

Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
