Online Component to Orientation
With the onslaught of online degree programs, I ponder the implementation of online orientation and its ability to successfully acclimate and on-board student learners.
Has anyone implemented an online orientation program or a hybrid online-onground orientation program?
Betina, I went through an online orientation for my online MBA program. I found the portions that were most helpful were on how to use the program. I think for online, some sort of webinar to get connected with others would have been helpful. This way, you get to connect with your classmates that are starting the same time as you and have others to reach out to that are on the same path as you are.

There are online orientation programs and they can be successful. None come to mind. Of course, they do have an initial focus on the technology itself.
