Student Involvement

We have recently added a student work program on campus and I believe that this will help for some to feel better attached to the programs and ideas that are running on campus. i like the idea of having a student committe that can help with graduation planning or student events, as they know better what the students are looking for. Possibly even having a meeting monthly for students to come and discuss planning of upcoming events would be a great way to keep them involved and excited about being on campus even with their busy schedules!

Dennis,

Is this a formal organized meeting or an informal meeting set up by the students themselves? Either works.

Ron Hansen, Ed. D.

Students meet regularly to discuss their issues and the results are amazing that the students have the initiative to study together and ask questions and test each other. The students make this an event and a competition on their knowledge base.

I agree. I feel the more involved a student is the more they want to continue to attend school.

I agree the better the involvement of the student in acctivities together and having instructors involved as well makes for better retention

I think that awesome...the more involved a student is the more they feel apart and I have truely found the more "apart" of something someone feels...they more excited, interested they are...they also tend to strive for success at it.

Hilary,

Students want to know the school cares for them and listens to them. Your student work program and everything associated with it indicate your institution is appreciative of student needs.
