Student Success
Do you think the Admissions Process affects the Student Success. How?
Hey Yuliet,
I feel that the admissions department plays a huge role in the success of the students. If it was not for our rep then our students would not even become enrolled in the program. The reps are the glue between us and the students for the provisional period.
Bette,
A tricky path to walk. Unless there is strict admissions criteria or restrictions in the job market you cannot deny student entry into their program of choice. Identifying the red flags and discussing with them is important.

I do think the admissions process is critical to student success. Admissions should have written criteria for acceptance into a program, and if a prospective student does not qualify, this is one way of controlling admission.
YULIET,
Yes, student expectations can be set during the admissions process. The key is to be sure the information shared by admissions reps with the students is accurate.
