Placement as Retention
Good placement rates absolutely drive retention..it keeps students eye on the prize. Placements should be shared with students on a regular basis and serve as a constant reminder of why they are in school.
I agree, even though that's not something we have explored yet. What a great note to add at the end of a newsletter or even quarterly as a reminder of what all these students are working toward!

I have found that real life application of what I am teaching helps the student retain what is being taught. In affect if they know how they can make money with what you are teaching they will retain alot more of it.
