Workig for a for profit school, it sounds sometimes as if the focus is more on the money. But it is so important to not focus on that because if the students are treated right they will go out and tell others which will bring other students and the money will come.
I have to agree. I recently finished my bachelor's degree and there were definitely days where I just wanted to quit. If it wasn't for the positive words of my academic advisor as well as many of my instructors, I honestly may have given up. We provide a service to a customer, whether we believe it or not. If the student does not feel comfortable or is beginning to show doubt and we do nothing to intervene then we all loose.

Good point. Students watch what we do and can tell from our actions, more than our words, if we really put them first.

I agree but if we have the students realize how important they are to us and want to help them successed. will also help with word of mouth.
