Changing lives
Why is education consider a way of changing lives? How can we present this to students to make them understand the importance of education?
Education by itself may be a life changing factor for some people, but education, or teaching must be presented in a spirit of mentoring, and caring. The instructor is the means by which the education is delivered,and he, or she plays a critical role in how it is recieved.
I try to explain the significance of the lesson to the students and explain the “what’s in it for me?†aspect. Some students are able to understand and some students have to live it before they get it. I’m interested in motivating and getting through to those who may not be as engaged as others with the lesson.
