motivating a student
I find that working along side the student in class or lab helps the student throught there struggles with certian tasks seeing the instructor go throught the actruall labror that the task calls for is more motivating then him just talking about it.
on our campus, we have one day lecture demo and the next is student production duplicating what was demoed the day before
I agree with this...as an instructor in cosmetology we are very hands on & showing a student instead of just instructing them can sometimes be all that is needed for the light bulb to come on. I really enjoy working hands on with my students.
I believe I am the biggest motivator my students have. When a member of my admissions team tours a potential student and they stop by my office, the admissions coach always tells them that I will listen to their issues, give them some advise, give them some cheese with that whine and send them back to class. They joke that I will always find a way to motivate them and get them back to class LOL
Thank you, Joseph.
The one-on-one attention you show to students is an essential part of the education formula.
