Problem solving

"Educating students should be a conscious, deliberate act resulting from thoughtful decision-making about what to teach and how students can learn best". I found to to be true becuase most students do not have strong problem solving skill while stressed about school.

Agreed. Nearly all of our adult students want to see the ROI in each class and lessons they are learning. It helps validate their decisions on coming to school in the first place and helps to drive them to succeed while they are in school.

I agree. When students are stressed out about school I feel they have a harder time looking at the positive especially when life starts to happen outside of school. I think that’s why it’s important for us as staff to make sure we can show them or help with the problem solving. If we have a stick of references or ideas when they come in I feel like they will become more positive about what is going on as well as see the "light at the end of the tunnel"

Ginell,

Adult students do not react well to busy work or to any assignments for which they are unable to perceive value.

Jeffrey Schillinger

You should make the assignments challenging yet rewarding to the student. So that they do not feel as if they are wasting time within the course.
