Modern Networking Dynamics
With the advent of multiple mobile communication technologies, organizational cultures have developed a confusing and dualistic nature. Many of these technologies are reducing or narrowing human communication abilities while developing new, basic, simplistic forms of conveying short-term understanding. Oversimplification of communications in the workplace creates a culture of response rather than a culture of rigorous discussion where meaningful long-term educational development takes place.

Dr. Gliddon -
Thanks for your insightful comments. It seems to me what you've implied is that the technologies may have reduced our ability or opportunities to engage with one another. In the online teaching environment, especially, developing rapport and shared meaning may require real, concerted effort. Maintaining that thread of discourse is time intensive and contrary to our conditioning - to communicate in short, rapid bursts. Thanks, again.
