I have worked in places were negetive people worked. It tear down moral very fast. It hase got to be addressed as sone as possible.
Negativity can be contagious--stop it as soon as it starts!
I try to help them see the whole picture. Sometimes they may be upset about their classes, or work schedule, or a supervisor. If you remind the person as to why we do this, because we care about the students and the organization, then it usually helps them to realize what they are doing and their attitude changes.

I try to inflict reflection on the people who complain the most. Make them look at their situation and the fact that the have, what most would consider, an excelent job. Alot of times it quiets them down temporairly until the become triggered again.

The attitude of those around you at work or school has a tremendous affect on each person. Negativity draws negativity. But the same goes for a positive attitude.
