A common vision

Getting everyone on the same page can be difficult. It seems as though each group has its own agenda. identifying common interest seems to be one way to encourage people from different groups to work together.

Matthew,

How do the "powers-that-be" at your institution demonstrate a positive outlook?

This is how I look at it. Without positive impacts/feedback, the common vision can be lost in what people might think as carelessness or that they are not considered important by the powers-that-be. I've seen how both sides work, and a Positive look is definitely more successful.

I totally agree. Everyone does not think the same, and by having an overall buy in to the organizational vision directs all involved on the right path towards success.

I think getting everyone on the same page is done by demonstrating the positive impacts the staff members that have bought into the plan have made in the organization.

Jim,

Establishing commonality and community is often a key to student success.
