Patricia I agree with you totally. The students who feel they have this much control then run to the Department Chair and Dean with complaints. I guess it depends on how the upper management handles the complaints. Sometime for what ever reason this make the student feel they have more control in the classroom then they should. I have also had the students who state that I paid a lot of money for the class and you should teach me what I need to know. They want to know what exactly will be on the test. I tell them that the they are responsible for the chapters we convered and anyother material I gave during the lecture. Then after the exam the students will state you told us to know ______ and you did not even test on it. My reply then is then you were prepared for the exam. Debbie
